Dominican Higher Education Fanjeaux, France Experience
Every other year, participants from Dominican higher education universities and colleges gather in southern France to embark on the Fanjeaux Pilgrimage to visit the lands of St. Dominic. While this trip was limited to faculty and staff at these institutions, these trips have a deep history in Dominican life over the last decades. To promote the trip, Dominican University’s McGreal Center for Dominican Historical Studies, a ministry partner of the Dominican Sisters Conference, and our Dominican University’s department of marketing developed two videos to memorialize the trip in 2023. A view book is also available for purchase (see below). If you have been on the trip before, as a Sister, associate, affiliate, Friar or laity, these videos are sure to bring back fond memories.
The first is more meditative. Follow this link. Or watch below on the left.
The second is more promotional, geared towards undergraduates who might use this trip as a study abroad opportunity. Follow this link. Or watch below on the right.

The Sacred Spaces project at Dominican University seeks to preserve and digitally archive historic sacred spaces of the Order of Preachers across the United States and other religious and cultural institutions in the Chicago area, in order to help preserve their history, community memory, art, and architecture for posterity.
